Topper Talk Podcast was created in April of 2023 by Steven Moffett (host) & Tyler Bailey (co-host). The creators decided that WKU needed another option in the podcasting space. Our intro episode dropped on April 14, 2023.
Steven had previously been apart of the Moonshine Throwdown Podcast, which highlighted WKUs rivalry with Marshall University. When conference realignment moved Marshall to the Sun Belt Conference that podcast venture became defunct & Steven was inspired to create a stand-alone WKU podcast.
Steven attended WKU from 2002-2005, studying computer sciences & programming. After college he began managing restaurants & still does to this day. Steven married his wife, Beth, in 2011 and together they have 3 children.
Tyler attended WKU from 2009-2014, where he was a member of the AGR fraternity & studied water management and interdisciplinary studies business & management. After college he began working at the water treatment plant in Bowling Green, where he is still employed today. Tyler married his wife, Lauren, in 2022 and together they have 1 child.
In October of 2023, Topper Talk Podcast officially joined the Red Towel Trust Collective as their official podcast. The Red Towel Trust is the official NIL Collective of Western Kentucky University athletics.
